The inspiration of people varies from their family to their pet and to real life heroes who survived a tragedy or had been successfully healed from a deadly sickness. We chose our inspiration based on our goals. We may idolize people who does the same job and has the same goals in life as we do.
In the open question that we posted, a lot of people had these answers, from their family, brother, God, breath-taking moments up to crazy adventures. We have noticed that a lot of people put their family as their first inspiration. Since birth our parents were the one’s who nurtured and protected us from the unknown world. Some specifically stated their children and brother as an inspiration. Sometimes in our culture, the eldest child takes responsibility and is trained to be a model for the younger sibling and the younger sibling is often the most favorite among the siblings. And from this, jealousy sometimes emerges, but in the answers one loved her brother because he inspires his sister by doing his best in all his endeavors. Moreover there are other people which are inspired by their friends. According to an article by Cassandra George Sturges “one of the main reasons that most people do not achieve their ultimate goals and dreams in life is because they are emotionally and psychologically unequipped to handle the loneliness and isolation that is required to evolve to the next level of success.” From this point, that is why a lot of people often use their friends as an inspiration if your family is away from you. Friendship is also strengthened through interpersonal space we may find our bestfriend sitting next to us or we might have dinner with our roommate. Familiarity also place a big role for if both of you are in the same class and course you will tend to talk to each other more often because of common topics. We have also seen that other people put God as an inspiration. He is believed to be the creator of the universe and the one who gave life to all the living creatures in this world. Others placed unexpected and interesting things that inspire them. We will quote one answer “the existence of infinite possibilities.” We can conclude from this sentence that people are disinhibited online for they talk about things which can amazed or make people wonder. There are interesting things that can be mistaken for display of intellectual superiority or artistic fanaticism such as “simplicity and beauty and beauty in simplicity.” Furthermore, the expression of such inspirations are because of online anonymity. They might be ashamed or hesitant in telling the whole world about their inspiration for it may be bogus and unheard of. Other people, might say that their parents inspire them because in reality they are shy in telling their parents that they love them. Nevertheless, cyberspace has a lot of venue to express a person’s deepest desire or inspiration. Material things which are considered as inspirations can be mistaken for materialism and that is a socially unacceptable inspiration.
Aside from simple inspiratios, others are inspired by the authors who wrote books that deals with life and struggles. They may share the same opinion or helped them in resolving some ideas that bother them such “Really good speakers/lecturers (Francis Kong, Bo Sanchez, Jesuits) and writers (Bo Sanchez, Paulo Coelho, etc).People who, in one way or another, have made a difference.” Some people are inspired by popular people who accomplished a world-known sport such as “anyone who overcomes obstacles to achieve something difficult to achieve. Like Lance Armstrong who overcame life-threatening cancer to win the Tour de France 7 times!” Admirers of these popular figures who has cancer yet won the Tour de France, seven times can inspire people to do everything they can even though they may or may not have disabilities.
Aside from popular figures and true-to-life examples, people might find simple things to be an inspiration or source of amazement. Just like this example “When Someone Uses both Uper and Lower Case letters in order to atract answerers! 2 thumbs way up!” These answers are sometimes misspelled because of their positive and enthusiastic attitudes towards questions. we have also noticed that there are people who make it a habit to respond to the posted questions to maintain their status when it comes to online answering. A lot of people who answered the questions are friends of the researchers, it simply implies that cyberspace is a venue to communicate and get help with just a click of the mouse. Cyberspace creates and maintains relationships and communication with your far away friends.
