Every human being has different source of inspiration. This diversity of sources of inspiration could be accounted for several reasons. First, the people who are emotionally close to us inspire us more than those who are mere acquaintances. For example, a lot said that their mothers are their source of inspiration. As we all know, almost everyone of us look up to our mothers because ever since we’re young, they were the ones who guided us in every step we make. We grew up seeking their advice and support. Thus for the majority, in terms of emotional bond, nothing can compare to their mothers. Because of our high regard for our mothers, we want them to be proud of us. So we are inspired to be someone who would surely make our mamas proud. Our mothers inspire us to be a better person so that we can keep that special bond alive at all times. On the other hand, our peers also have a great impact on us. For some who are not emotionally close to their families, their peers supply them with flowing love and support. For this reason, our peers could also be one of the factors that inspire us to be the person we wanted to be. Our opinions are greatly moulded by our friends. We cannot deny the fact that there’s reality in the saying “tell me about your friends, and I’ll say who you are.”
Second, our experiences also serve as source of inspiration. Failures motivate us to work harder while successes prompt us to strive higher. Our everyday experiences penetrate the way we think. It guides us in making decisions and it defines the things we prioritize. Whether we would be a good mother depends on our experiences as a son or daughter. Our failures fuel us to be better and our success gives us a stout self esteem.
The environment we grew in also serve as a source of inspiration. The beliefs transpired to us guide us in everything we do. They are our basis in deciding which is good for us and what would harm us. The foundation of our beliefs is greatly influenced by the environment we came from. Thus our environment has a say on what we would become. It inspires us more than what we care to admit.
Aside from the factors I mentioned, there’s a vast number of things that inspire people. The variance is due to the fact that everyone has different priorities in life. We have different ambitions. And our experiences vary. Thus, we have different sources of inspiration that are greatly based on things that matters to us.
